MEET OUR FOUNDER
Brenda Nettey is a licensed therapist & social worker (LCSW-C) in Maryland with 5 years of experience helping individuals navigate their emotional and psychological challenges. In 2018, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Family Science from Towson University, and in 2020, her Master's degree in Social Work with a clinical concentration from The University of Maryland, Baltimore.
Since 2020, Brenda has provided tools and interventions to hundreds of clients dealing with anxiety disorder, depression disorders, trauma, grief, bipolar disorders, and relationship or family issues. Through her compassionate and client-centered approach, she is dedicated to supporting others in their healing and growth.
Brenda’s passion for mental health grew from her personal experiences with anxiety, practicing gratitude, journaling, therapy, and witnessing her family members struggle with depression disorders, suicidal ideation, bipolar disorders, and anxiety disorders. Her faith in God plays a pivotal role in her life, and she highlights the importance of community and guiding others closer to God as a key part of their healing.
Driven by her experiences, Brenda has committed her career to supporting others on their journey to growth and recovery. This passion led her to create "To Her Future Self," a community of like-minded women who support and encourage one another in all areas of life. She also designed the "To Her Future Self Gratitude and Reflection Journal," which helps individuals reflect deeply and cultivate self-awareness.
